Jean Pierre and Annie took over La Flamme Restaurant in the year 2000 which can be found on the Chemin de la Vieille Plagne just next door to the Telecabin Super Morzine. The restaurant had been running since 1992. ( before then it was a chicken hut!) The name comes from The Oympic flame of the Alberville JO. Open winter and summer seasons and weekends throughout inter season from 1100 hr until 2200 hr.
Savoie and Jura (Annie is from the Jura) are the kitchen's specialties. Also Fondue's made from Mont D'or cheese which is also a specialty from the Jura. Pierrade's of Ostrich, Kangaroo and Partridge are found only here.
The famous "fired in Whisky" Ostrich steaks (pave), are cooked on the Piquade, this goes off with their fabulous Gratian Dafinoire potatoes...Another original meal is the white wine and Berthoud cheese. This is eaten with local meats and is a real treat from the Chatel Valley, try it out.
There are 5 different menus (one for children) and a menu skier for winter lunch times. The Pizzas are some of the best in the village with the fattest toppings for home or away. Wines from the Jura, mainly the Chateau- Chalon are there for you to try.
