A Gite in the High Atlas
Id is a Mountain Guide from Aremd in Morocco and has spent many years skiing and trekking in the Atlas and her surrounding mountains,
his respect for nature, has given many people new idea's of how to live in harmony with the environment.
As the sun sets, the stars start to appear and the full beauty of the African night sky comes to light as you relax
after a filling evening meal. The top terrace. The floor is made from tiles which are easy to clean when it snows.
7 main bedrooms. 4 extra lounges. 4 showers ( 2 hot / 2 cold). 2 kitchens and a sun terrace.
Day to day
The windows are protected from the elements by a steel grill. These ornate pieces are hand made in the valley.
The metal is heated then bent and hammered into shape. The individual pieces are then welded together.
The sitting room is arranged out in the traditional Moroccan style.
Around the edge of the room, a bench which will vary from 60-80cm
in width. This has a duel purpose; being used at night as a bed,
while in the day time they are used as chairs for the tables in the centre of the room.
